The creators of the Guitar Hero video game franchise are saying that new editions of the hugely successful game featuring Metallica and the Beatles are not coming any time soon. Addressing rumors that a Metallica-centered version was coming in 2009, Kai Huang, who co-founded game publisher Red Octane with his brother Charles in 1999, said, "We're not ready to comment about Metallica yet, but what I will say is that we'd love to work with all of the top rock bands of all time, whether it's Aerosmith or Metallica or AC/DC or Led Zeppelin. If we get an opportunity to work with those bands, we would love to do that."
Huang said that reports about a Beatles game were "rumors right now and we don't have any comments yet."
3 Doors Down and several other artists are partnering with AT&T to provide exclusive new songs to the U.S. Olympic Team. The "motivational" tracks will appear on the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, which will be available for download between August 8th and 24th while the 2008 Olympics take place in Beijing, China. Also participating are Sheryl Crow and Nelly. The songs can be downloaded on AT&T wireless phones and online at ATT.net.
AT&T customers will have a chance to download ringtones of the tunes. The songs will debut on TV during both the NBC and Telemundo broadcasts of the Olympic games. All proceeds from sales of the soundtrack will benefit Team USA.
3 Doors Down kicks off their tour tomorrow in St. Louis and will be here September to promote its recently released self-titled fourth album.
Most requested FUNERAL SONGS!!! The AC/DC classic "Highway to Hell" is becoming one of the most requested songs at funerals in the band's home country of Australia. Along with "Highway to Hell," Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" is also one of the more contemporary tunes replacing traditional hymns at funeral services. Topping the list is Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and Louis Armstrong's rendition of "What a Wonderful World."
Managers at Adelaide, Australia's largest cemetery, Centennial Park, said only two traditional hymns, "Amazing Grace" and "Abide By Me," rank among the 10 most requested songs. AC/DC and Led Zeppelin did not make the Top 10, but have been gaining ground in recent years. Other choices included "Always Look on the Bright Side" from the movie Monty Python's Life of Brian, "Ding Dong The Witch is Dead" from The Wizard of Oz, and Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust.
Not sure what song I would want, guess it depends on how I died. If it was tragically like in a car accident or bunjee jumping I'd say go sappy, but if it's old and gray give me some 2 Pac or Tool and let the party start! What songs would you want to be buried to? Leave some comments

Man I am so fuckin psyched for All Hope Is LOst, Slipknot Kicks Serious Ass!!! Psychosocial Is One Beast Song, and that's the only one that's been released, there's more to come! I expect it to be alomst as good as Slipknot's self titled debut back in '99. Hey thanks for the new rock gurs, you're awesome! My favorite station and I listed to you all the time. Thanks for a station that actually plays new rock and not new shit. I mean what other radio stations play my favorite bands like System Of A Down, Slipknot, Disturbed, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Motley Crue, Tool, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine etc. Thanks guys keep rockin' Cincinnati (Lord Knows The Reds won't), and Ohio!
