Theory of a Deadman continues to make noise on the rock radio charts with the second single Bad Girlfriend from its recently released third album, Scars and Souvenirs. The track's up-tempo feel and raunchy, funny lyrics are not the usual fare from the Canadian group. Guitarist Dave Brenner said that's why he thinks the song is a hit: "It shows a different side of Theory of a Deadman. The past albums have been pretty heavy content-wise and this one shows more of a sense of humor to Theory of a Deadman and it's really fun to play live. The fans dig it."
And you fans can dig it this weekend cause Theory of a Deadman will team up with Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry for a stretch of summer tour dates beginning this Sunday in Covington, Kentucky at the Madison Theatre. Listen tomorrow morning to the 2 Angry Guys for your chance to win our final pair and get backstage to hang with the bands before the show.
Disturbed has shot a video for "Indestructible," the title track from the band's latest album, according to Blabbermouth.net. The clip is expected to begin airing shortly, although it has not been announced whether the song will be the second single from the disc. Many of the album's lyrics were inspired by a run of bad luck that singer David Draiman had over the last couple of years which included a motorcycle accident, several bad break-ups, a fire that destroyed his garage and the vehicles inside it, plus assorted family health and real estate issues. When asked if the title was about him he said that "First and foremost, the title track itself was written as an anthem for the soldiers. Definitely, songs on Indestructible, like 'The Curse,' directly refer to things that he had gone through. But the whole notion of 'indestructible' is also sort of a statement indicating our perseverance." Disturbed is currently co-headlining the first-ever Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour with Slipknot which will be in California tomorrow night and will be in Indianapolis August 13th
Slipknot-related material continues to surface online following last week's unveiling of the band's latest masks and the arrival of their new single, "Psychosocial." The final artwork for the group's upcoming album, All Hope Is Gone, has been posted by Roadrunner Records. The cover depicts the nine members of the group in their new costumes, standing in a deserted field.
