I'm sure this has happened to a lot of people but it's just seems like this kind of crap happens to me constantly cause this is the 3rd time this has happened to me!
So before the show at Bogart's (which by the way was one of the stinkiest and nastiest place I've ever seen a show WHICH IS AWESOME!! I love those style venues they are the best!) Sister Karen and our winners decided to go down the road a bit to start boozin a bit! So I start a tab, have a few beers and decide to cash out with the bartender so that a waitress can start serving us... I'm lazy like that.
So the gal swipes the card and gives me the receipt to sign when I realize it wasn't my card but our winner's card. So I tell her that mine is the gold one back there so she grabs it, swipes it and gives me the next receipt... once again NOT my card is some other guys who has an identical card... you see where this is going.
So I tell here AGAIN that this isn't mine either and she apologizes and goes to get mine... her eyes go "deer in headlights" like and I know before she even tells me that she has mistakingly given my card to some stranger who of course paid for his meal and drinks with my money and is gone already!
Now this is quite disappointing since I just got my card like a week ago cause my bank kept sending it to the wrong address! Plus we have a concert to go to in a couple hours and I have no way to get cash now! Just a mess and the poor bartender, who I gotta admit I was pretty pissed at, was so upset at herself! So she hooked me up with a free pitcher and the manager squashed my tab plus Fin came and saved the day by purchasing a bunch of pitchers and we has record label guys hang with us and buy some too so it ended just fine!
Got my card today from the guy who promises he didn't buy anything else on it before I had it blocked and life is good now... Thank you to the establishment we were at for being cool about it and to the bartender/waitress gal don't sweat it like I said this is the 3rd time it's happened to me so no worries!
Gas to get to show - $55
A round of beers - $15
The other guy's tab I paid for - $13
A pack of cigarettes to ease the pain of losing my card - $5
Taking it in stride and getting drunk with sweaty kids taking out their aggressions on each other to music... priceless
PS the show was wicked, see you all there again in the future!
