To the guys in Saving Abel- Jared, Scott & Jason- for coming in to the studios yesterday for our first ever 96 Rock Kitchen Sink Concert Series! It was their warm-up for last night's show at Bogarts with Rev Theory & Puddle of Mudd....I wasn't able to make the show last night but Gamble & Fin were both there, and it sounds like I missed a lot- both on AND off the stage! Did you go? Did you have as good of a time as my "brothers" here at 96 Rock? Tell me your stories!

And as for the Saving Abel performance from yesterday, if you missed it, I will have it up either here on my blog or on the Angry Guys podcast page by tomorrow...I will keep you posted on that- and I will make sure Kuzin Vinny gets the fotos up as well so you can check 'em out!

A friend emailed me the link to this...Dave Grohl & Will Ferrell doing their own version of the Don Henley/Steve Nicks "Leather and Lace." Great stuff!

It's nearly here....so Rockheads, what are your plans? Anyone staying closer to home cuz of the crazy ass gas prices? Anyone going to check out 311 & Snoop at Riverbend? (If so be sure to leave a comment here afterwards & let me know how it goes!)  As for the Sister, I have no definite plans yet for the 4th...but headed to the Southgate House on Saturday the 5th to see my favorite local band 500 Miles to Memphis- you gotta check these guys out if you get the chance! Their website is on my links on this page.... Whatever you do, I hope you have a FUN and safe holiday weekend!

I wasn't too worried about getting to see Motley Crue on David Letterman last night....see, waking up at 4am everyday can put a damper on staying up late to watch things like that...but I just KNEW someone would post it on youtube! Thought I'd share it with you Rockheads who didn't get to see it, either- l have a feeling Crue Fest is gonna be REAL fun!

The Jagermeister Music Tour rolls thru Cincy tonight at Bogarts....this morning during the 2 Angry Guys show, we had the Lizard Man on with us- he's the MC for the tour. A very interesting person...the podcast of the interview is up here on the site...and if you click on www.thelizardman.com/ you can check out his website. Your thoughts?

In case you missed it over the weekend, here's the first part of the Crue on Larry King this past Friday...if you want to check out the whole show, you can find it on You Tube, it's split up into four segments- this is just the first part- but the rest is well worth checking out! Don't forget to pick up your copy of Saints of Los Angeles tomorrow- or win it before you can buy it every hour today with us here at 96 Rock!!

The Angries and I had a big laugh yesterday at the article in the Enquirer which listed the top 100 things to do in the Cincy/Northern KY area before you die.  A few of them made sense- the Flying Pig Marathon, Sunlite Pool/Coney Island, the Beast at Kings Island, the Festival of Lights at the Zoo, etc...But some of the others, well...I just don't see myself driving over the Suspension Bridge with my windows down just to "listen to the tires hum" anytime soon, (which was at number SIX!) or go stand in front of the "Florence Y'all" sign and have my picture taken. (at # 20). REALLY? Is there nothing else to do in this city? So we opened the phone to all you Rockheads, and we got both some pretty sarcastic & funny ideas, as well as some cool ligit ones. Any ideas from any of you online Rockheads?
